Mic’d Up: Corey Rodrigues kicks things off at Worcester Comedy Club

A brand new day in the history of Worcester comedy is upon us, and Corey Rodrigues has been tapped as the one to help kick things off properly.

Christening the stage at the newly minted Worcester Comedy Club on Friday (October 23), the longtime fan favorite will help usher in a new chapter in the long, vibrant history of comedy in Wormtown with his signature blend of intriguing storytelling and iron-clad joke writing. While the power wielded by Rodrigues makes more than enough sense to get things started on the right foot for the club, the brainchild of the longtime comedic crack team consisting of Doug Guertin, Shaun Connolly and Bryan O’Donnell is primed to bring club comedy shows back to Worcester in a big way. A schedule consisting of names like Bethany Van Delft, Jason Cordova, Emily Ruskowski, Brian Glowacki, and more fills the calendar, before 2026 closes out with Dan Boulger for a special New Year’s Eve show.

It’s bound to have that nervous excitement that you feel on the first day of school when we step into Worcester’s new comedy digs, but that makes sense since with Rodrigues at the mic, class is always in session. So go scarf down some George’s Coney Island glizzies and get over to Worcester Comedy Club to kick off your weekend the right way…
