CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A 22News Storm Team Weather Alert has been issued for snow Tuesday afternoon and evening.
As January continues western Massachusetts gains more daylight
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Franklin County, Berkshire County, and western Hampden and Hampshire Counties from 4 pm Tuesday until 7 pm Wednesday.
We will be partly to mostly cloudy during the morning. Light snow is possible after 1 pm. Scattered light snow is likely after 3 pm. Be ready for some light snow falling during the evening commute. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 30s.
The light snow will become more widespread and continue through tonight. There will be a minor accumulation of snow that will mostly accumulate during the overnight hours.
Wednesday will be cloudy with scattered rain and sleet showers. High temperatures are around 40 degrees.
We continue to warm up towards the end of the week.
