A Massachusetts State Trooper charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in recent weeks was transferred on Wednesday to a new division on a restricted duty status. West Brookfield Police arrested Sgt. Todd Girouard, 51, on Jan. 12 due to a drunken driving incident after police were notified of an “erratic” driver in Hardwick, according to a police report filed in East Brookfield District Court.
