More snow is coming to Worcester this weekend. How much? Still too many variables to tell.
On Friday afternoon, Frank Nocera, senior meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Taunton, said he is pretty confident that we’re going to get a few inches of snow starting Sunday night, which will translate to a messy Monday commute.
“Mostly likely, there will be snow-covered roads in Worcester for the morning commute on Monday,” Nocero said. “We’re pretty confident that there will be several inches of snow for the Worcester area Sunday night into Monday morning. It could be more. … It’s a pretty safe bet that people plan right now for, at least, some impact Monday morning for the school and work commute.
“There’s still a lot of uncertainties. How strong is it going to be? Is it going to intensify soon enough to give us a lot of snow?” Nocera said. “Unfortunately, there are still a lot of unknowns.”
Nocera said it’s safe to say that Monday’s morning commute could be a little slippery.
