SMITHFIELD, R.I (WPRI) — A bobcat was recently captured on camera in Smithfield.
Smithfield Animal Control said the feline was roaming the area of Mann School Road.

In recent months, bobcat sightings have been reported in Cumberland , Coventry and Warwick .
The R.I. Department of Environmental Management (DEM) said bobcats may go after small pets, but don’t pose a threat to humans.
Any bobcat sightings and other wildlife observations can be reported to the DEM through its website .
