Worcester nursing home accused of neglect, overmedication in report

A Worcester nursing home has been accused of neglecting and overmedicating patients and understaffing its facility, in a new report by the Disability Law Center. According to the report, at Bear Mountain Worcester, one of 13 Bear Mountain facilities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, understaffing in the neurobehavioral unit led to minimal engagement with patients and questionable treatment and medication plans. Following a two-year investigation, Bear Mountain has agreed to make changes at the facility, according to DLC.
