On a Friday afternoon, a shift change of sorts was occurring at the Midtown Mall, the downtown shopping center located at 22 Front St., near the Mercantile Center. On one side of the first-floor aisle, DoHo Café owner Hayleigh Noel was closing up shop after selling out of donuts earlier than expected. On the other side of the aisle, Concrete Collection owner Will Daughtry was preparing for a Friday-afternoon rush at the vintage store.
