While many lottery winners are looking to buy themselves a new home or something special, a Peabody man said his first big purchase will be to someone important in his life: his mom.
Sean Salvati won $1 million playing the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “100X Cash” scratch-off game.
Salvati chose to take the lump sum of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.
He plans to use that money to buy his mom a car.
Salvati bought his lottery ticket at Gulf Express at 160 Andover St. in Danvers. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winner.
