Group of NY goats rescued from poor conditions seek new home in Massachusetts

METHUEN, Mass. (WWLP) – The MSPCA is looking for anyone to adopt more than a dozen goats that were rescued from poor conditions in New York back in January.

Pre-Valentine’s Day snow totals across western Massachusetts

According to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, the rescue included goats, cattle, and horses from Owego, New York on January 18th. The goats were then taken to Nevins Farm on February 12th.

“We ended up taking all 17 goats that were on the property,” explained Kaycie McCarthy, the equine and farm animal rescue and outreach manager at Nevins. “They were living with dozens of other animals on a property with limited access to food, water, and medical care.”

“We’re turning the page though, and our focus now is on caring for the goats and making sure they find perfect new homes,” she added.
