Woonsocket man wanted in connection to Mass. robbery arrested

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — A Woonsocket man wanted by Bellingham, Mass. police who they say was involved in a recent robbery in their town, has been arrested.

According to Woonsocket Police Chief Thomas Oates, the suspect, 41-year-old Agapito Davila, was arrested in Lowell, Mass. Saturday night.

The Bellingham Police Detectives Unit posted on social media that Davila was a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that happened on Feb. 10.

Investigators also said in the post that Davila is known to frequent Lowell.

Oates added that Davila was involved in a crash on Rathbun St. in Woonsocket on Feb. 10, after the robbery in Bellingham.

Davila is expected to face charges out of Woonsocket for leaving the scene of an accident while taking off from police.

It is not know yet what charges he is facing in Massachusetts.
