Ramps connecting Mass Pike, I-95 to see lane closures for years

More drivers are being pulled over in Massachusetts, RMV says 01:32

WESTON – Drivers traveling between the Massachusetts Turnpike and Interstate 95 northbound in Newton and Weston can expect ramp slowdowns for years to come because of major construction work on bridges at the busy interchange.

Beginning Sunday night, two ramps connecting the highways will be reduced to one lane in each direction through late 2027.

Ramp lane closures for Mass Pike and I-95 north

Here are the details about the upcoming lane closures, as announced by MassDOT:

  • Exit 123A from I-90 eastbound to I-95 northbound will be reduced to one lane starting at 9:00 p.m. Sunday September 15, and is expected to continue until fall of 2027.
  • Exit 39B from I-95 northbound to I-90 will be reduced to one lane starting at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday September 15, and is expected to continue until fall of 2027.

“Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution,” MassDOT said.

There will be signs and police details to let people know about the changes, MassDOT said.
