The Beyond the Frames Series continues at Mechanics Hall. Following up on the recent unveiling of the Sojourner Truth, William and Martha Brown and Frederick Douglass portraits, Mechanics Hall presents, three events tied to the portraits. On Thursday September 19th it is Beyond the Frames: A Series in Jazz Avery Sharpe Celebrates Sojourner Truth. On October 3rd Barron Ryan will celebrate William and Martha Brown and on October 24th Ruth Naomi Floyd presents Frederick Douglass Jazz Works. Executive Director of Mechanics Hall Kathy Gagne invites everyone “Mechanics Hall 2024 Celebration of Excellence and 181st Annual Meeting.” The Master Mechanic Award will be presented to Gloria Hall and Stacey Luster.
