Marlborough man works to share the stories of local fallen WWII veterans

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – The Memorial Project is a labor of love forMatthew Sargent. A Marlborough native and a Navy Reservist, Sargent visited Italy’s Anzio War Cemetery to pay respects to three Marlborough men who’d died in the 1944 invasion there. After his return home, Sargent searched for more information on the three local vets who fell at Anzio, but couldn’t find many answers to his questions through the town.
