Worcester leaders of color cheer equity chief hire, but say there is work to do

In March, community leaders and advocates who support equity and diversity in Worcester told MassLive they were disheartened the city had not hired anyone to serve as chief equity officer two years after the departure of the city’s previous chief diversity officer – the third such departure within five years.
