October is “Adopt a Shelter Dog” month, and Massachusetts shelters are hoping that means more residents will adopt dogs in their care. While only 3 of the 21 dogs out of New Bedford that were surrendered to Forever Paws in Fall River remain, the shelter is far from in the clear. Like many shelters in Massachusetts, they are constantly full as of late.
