NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – In Northbridge, Massachusetts, U.S. Navy veteran Wally Smith and a team of volunteers have embarked on a mission tomark the unmarked graves of local veterans. Many of those graves date back to the Civil War. Supported by donations, Smith and volunteers are honoring those who served, ensuring their stories are told and respected for future generations. The team is hoping that they will inspire volunteers in other communities to take up the same cause closer to their own homes.
