Downed wires cause fire on Route 32 in Palmer

PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – A portion of Route 32 in Palmer was closed due to downed wires in the road, causing a fire early Wednesday morning.

Crews put out Christmas Day fire on Palmer Avenue in West Springfield

The Palmer Fire Department states that Route 32 in the area of 368 Ware Street was closed after a tree came down across power lines starting a fire.

There is no word on when the road is set to reopen.
