The luckiest lottery spot in Massachusetts,”We truly are a lucky store”

SHEFFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts State Lottery announced the luckiest stores that sold multiple prizes of $1 million or more in 2024.

In Sheffield, three $1 million winning lottery tickets were sold out of Silk’s Variety, a family-owned business on Main Street. “With over 50 years as a Lottery agent, we could never have imagined selling three $1 million prize-winning tickets in one year,” said store owner Susan Silk. “We are so excited for the winners and are grateful for our loyal customers who have supported us for so many years. We truly are a lucky store.”

Berkshire County man wins $1 million on scratch ticket

The first winning ticket at Silk’s Variety in 2024 was on January 26th when a Sheffield resident won a $1 million prize in the $5,000,000 100X Cashword instant ticket game.

Another $1 million prize was awarded to Richard Swiater of Great Barrington in the lottery’s “$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler”  $10 instant ticket game.

The third $1 million winning ticket was hit on November 18th to Michael Koldys of Sheffield chose the one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes) and told lottery officials that he plans to a new boat, save for retirement, and have some fun! The $20 ticket sold was the “$5,000,000 100X Cashword”.
