‘We may have had hard times, but we survived.’: Flying Rhino Café celebrates 25 years

The new year is here and so are the predictions about what’s ahead for the restaurant industry.

On the local scene, the Barber family, owners of the Flying Rhino Café & Watering Hole in Worcester, recently launched a new winter menu, not only in celebration of 25 years in business, but also to create a unique dining experience, giving guests more than they expect.

Husband and wife team Paul Barber and Melina (Capsalis) Barber with their children Myles Barber and Tory Hall recently introduced the Rhino’s 25-year anniversary double-sided menu featuring the restaurant’s signature classics and a weekly themed “Specials” menu. “I remember it well, April of 2000, how excited we were to open the restaurant,” said Paul Barber, noting that dining out has changed over time, including types of restaurants, the cost and the experience.
