WEBSTER — A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested on firearms charges Wednesday evening after Webster police responded to a report of a person with a gun.
At approximately 5:53 p.m. on Feb. 19, officers assigned to the evening shift arrived at a Webster address following a report of a juvenile in possession of a firearm.
Witnesses told officers they believed the suspect had a handgun.
Officers located the juvenile inside an apartment and conducted a pat frisk.
A .22 caliber Ruger pistol was discovered tucked in the juvenile’s waistband.
The juvenile was compliant and taken into custody without incident.
The juvenile was charged with possession of a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, and possession of a large capacity feeding device.
After being booked at the Webster Police Department, the juvenile was transferred to the custody of the Department of Youth Services.
In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws regarding juveniles, no further information was released.
