PORTSMOUTH — A bloody assault outside the Market Basket on Lafayette Road last week, following what is believed to be a dispute over a shopping carriage, remains under investigation by city police .
The incident occurred the morning of Thursday, Feb. 27, in the parking lot of the 1500 Lafayette Road grocery store, according to Deputy Chief Michael Maloney.
Portsmouth police and fire crews were called. They found an older man bleeding from the head and believed he was the victim of an alleged assault by another man, Maloney said…
