Two Men Arrested in Connection with Mattapan Homicide, Boston Police Urge Public to Provide Information

Following a call for public assistance last night, Boston Police have apprehended two suspects in connection to a recent homicide in Mattapan. Shovan Darby, 29, of East Weymouth, was arrested in relation to the fatal shooting that took place on February 4, at 35 Tennis Road. Darby was wanted on an warrant for the murder of Mauricio M. Lawrence, 33, of Mattapan, according to Boston Police Department.

A second individual, Roberto Taylor, also 29 and from Dorchester, has been charged with multiple offenses including Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. At the time of reporting, Taylor was already in custody on unrelated charges. Attempting to swiftly deliver some measure of justice, authorities insist that the community’s cooperation remains crucial.
