Covered, sprinkled and donned in green, Worcester County St. Patrick’s Parade fills Park Ave.

WORCESTER — It started with the rumble of revving motorcycles and trucks, then slowly flowed down through Park Avenue with the music of school bands, wail of bagpipes and booming speakers, leaving behind a trail of candy, smiles and happy memories.

Covered, sprinkled and donned in green, the Worcester County St. Patrick’s Parade returned Sunday at noon, starting at where Park Avenue meets Mill Street.

About 40 marching groups and 25 floats were among the pieces of a seemingly unending chain that pushed past spectators who lined the 2-mile-long stretch, waving at their favorite acts of the parade…
