Massachusetts Winter Weather Update: Icy Roads in Western Hampshire and Northern Worcester Until Late Morning

Boston, MA – A band of freezing rain continues to affect parts of western and northern Massachusetts, creating slick roadways and potential travel hazards early Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston/Norton, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m. EDT for Franklin, Northern Worcester, Western Hampshire, and Northern Middlesex counties. Ice accumulations are expected to reach up to one-tenth of an inch, primarily impacting elevated surfaces and untreated roadways.
