Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club, which opened in 1991 off Old Turnpike Road, has been sold for $2.3 million. The buyers include Carl Fitz, a longtime golf professional and course manager, most recently of New Hampshire. The 18-hole course off Old Turnpike Road opened in 1991, built by developer Garrett Donlin, It was initially nine holes, cut from the fields of the former Zukus farm. The deal was announced Tuesday by Glickman Kovago & Jacobs, the agency representing the sellers. Garrett and Deborah Donlin intend to retire, the agency said.
