Lawyers: Man fatally shot in Worcester was mistaken for another person

A man who was fatally shot inside a vehicle on Dorchester Street in December was an innocent victim mistaken for another person, lawyers indicated recently in Worcester Superior Court.

Obed Addow, 28, was “brutally” shot to death after being mistaken for another person who had allegedly offended others on social media, a defense lawyer for one of four men charged with his murder told a judge May 2.

The information came out during a bail hearing for Adrian Rodriguez, a 33-year-old Fitchburg man who was indicted in March along with three others on murder charges. The Telegram & Gazette reviewed official courtroom audio of the proceedings…
