Maynard man faces assault charges after domestic incident, break-in

A Maynard man is facing a slew of charges including assault in connection with a Sunday night break-in and “domestic incident.”

William Rogers Buster, 25, has been charged with two counts of assault and battery on a family or household member, according to court records. He’s also facing one count each of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering into a building at night to commit a felony, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, malicious destruction of property, disorderly conduct and threatening to commit a crime.

On May 18 around 9:45 p.m., Maynard police responded to an apartment on Dawn Road for reports that someone was breaking into an apartment and that a fight was going on inside the apartment, the police department said in a press release. At the scene, the reporting party — who knew Buster personally — told officers that he’d broken into the apartment and damaged multiple items in the home…
