Worcester Police Arrest 48-Year-Old Shawn Fleury on Drug Trafficking and Firearm Violations

Early this morning, Worcester Police Vice Squad detectives executed a search warrant on Fairbanks Street, resulting in the arrest of 48-year-old Shawn Fleury. The Worcester Police Department, via an official social media post, detailed how detectives found Fleury on a living room couch, surrounded by evidence of drug trafficking and multiple firearms.

In the cushion of the couch lay a bag with roughly 15 grams of crack cocaine, while an additional 3 grams were recovered from Fleury’s pants pocket. During the search, detectives also retrieved two firearms placed atop of the pantry cabinets, along with a 52-gram chunk of pink substance, presumed to be ecstasy, and various items indicative of drug distribution such as digital scales and packaging materials. Fleury is now facing multiple charges including drug trafficking, firearm violations, and possession of ammunition without an FID.

The statement from the Worcester Police Department indicates that the severity of the charges reflects the quantity of the drugs and the presence of firearms. Specific charges include Trafficking Class B Substance 36-99 grams, Possession Cocaine with Intent, and Armed Career Criminal (level 3). Additionally, Fleury is being charged with Firearm Use in a Felony (2 Counts), Improper Storage of a Firearm Under 18 has access, and Possession of Ammunition without FID.
