Worcester Police Department’s Summer Impact officers made an arrest in the late hours of July 12th, according to a social media post they published. The patrol, which specifically aims to quickly address crime hot spots during the summer months, responded to a call on Lafayette St that involved a man making threats with a possible firearm. By the time the police arrived, the suspect had fled, but officers were able to identify him from video evidence as fifty-two-year-old Naheem Schuler from Illinois St, who was known to have an outstanding warrant.
The search for Mr. Schuler was prompt, and officers did not take long to locate him. A search subsequent to his arrest for the warrant found him to be in possession of multiple bags of what appeared to be crack cocaine.
