Landlord sold his home, then sent a $2,500 check to every former tenant for the most extraordinary reason

Everyone needs necessities like food, clothes and shelter to live a modest life. But countless people can’t afford to purchase their own homes and as a result, they have to rely on rented houses and apartments. Monthly rent takes away a significant chunk of people’s income, but that’s just a way of living. However, it was not the case in the life of Chris Robarege, who got a generous landlord. According to Goalcast, when the Worcester resident got divorced, he moved out of his home and started living in a rental home.

After a while, Robarge moved away from the rental without giving much thought to it. But he didn’t expect his former landlord to reach out to him one day, asking for his current address. A few days later, Robarge received a mail and along with it, a surprising sum of $2,500. Robarge took to his Facebook account to elaborate on the story. In the post, he shared a picture of the $2500 cheque written by his former landlord and a letter from him.

“This person rented me a space in their house. That was the first place I had to actually call home when I had to leave my house after I got divorced. I paid a completely fair amount of money for my accommodations and really enjoyed my time there and like all rental situations, I figured that was that,” Robarge wrote in his 2021 post. “I got this in the mail. It’s a letter from that person, informing me that they sold their house and that they were paying me and every tenant they ever had for what we contributed to the profit they made from selling the house.”…
