State Senate passes ban on all cell phones during school hours

BOSTON – The Massachusetts Senate has passed a bill that would impose a statewide ban on cell phone use in public schools.

The bill would ban the use of cell phones by students in all schools from bell to bell, meaning students would not be able to use phones or other personal electronic devices such as tablets in the classroom, in periods in between classes or during lunchtime.
