A well-known gang broke into multiple cars in a Massachusetts mall parking lot in July.
The nationwide gang is known as the “Felony Lane Gang.” Members are known to watch people leave their cars, especially women, without a purse or wallet at parks, beaches, post offices or daycares. The “group of bandits” originating from Fort Lauderdale, Florida more than a decade ago then break into the cars to steal debit and credit cards, Chelsea Groton Bank warned.
The stolen credit cards are sometimes used to buy high end electronics or gift cards. Other times, they use wigs, glasses and hats to cash checks from stolen checkbooks. They use the outside lane of the bank, which got them the name “Felony Lane Gang,” the Hanover Police Department said…
