13 people charged for elder fraud scheme

BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – The United States attorney for Massachusetts Leah B. Foley announced today that 13 people have been charged for operating a transnational elder fraud scheme.

Officials say the “call center” operation in the Dominican Republic has left over 400 seniors across the U.S. with more than $5,000,000 in losses.
