NORTHBOROUGH – The White Cliffs mansion on Northborough’s Main Street has remained an iconic landmark since it was constructed in the 1800s.
From proms to weddings, White Cliffs was the home to celebrations and milestones for many Northborough residents before its doors were closed in 2014. Just a few years later, after residents advocated to save the historic mansion, the town of Northborough made an offer to purchase White Cliffs for $1.75 million in 2016.
A decade later, uncertainty has marred the future of White Cliffs. Without a plan or a confirmed buyer, the town didn’t have a path forward for the property, and even lost out on grants for upkeep due to the instability…
