Connecticut State Police, FBI searching for wanted suspect who dragged Massachusetts trooper

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are on the hunt for a fleeing armed and dangerous suspect believed to have traveled to Connecticut in a black Audi after allegedly dragging a trooper in Massachusetts following a domestic incident in Vermont.

Vermont authorities identified the suspect as 23-year-old Mason L. Payne.

Shelton police described Payne as armed and dangerous and say he’s made threats to harm law enforcement officers.
