One of the last remaining drive-in theaters in Massachusetts will close next year after more than 60 years in operation.
The Star Drive-In in Taunton will close in March 2026, owner Erika Madden wrote in a Facebook post Friday, Aug. 22.
After “getting messages,” Madden decided to “address the rumors” that the drive-in was closing. She added “it’s even been mentioned at a Zoning Board meeting” and heard a rumor at “the local gas station” that The Star Drive-In was closing…
