Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission and Clinical Therapeutics Announce Call for Cannabis Research Papers, Deadline September 15

Elsevier, the Publisher of Clinical Therapeutics, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission’s Research Department, has issued a call for papers to be featured in a specialty issue titled, “Cannabis Research and Policy: A Joint Exploration of Past and Future Therapeutic Agency.”

Clinical Therapeutics is a peer-reviewed medical journal with a large international audience of scientists and clinicians in a variety of research, academic, and clinical practice settings. This specialty issue will provide a comprehensive overview of clinical and regulatory research on cannabis, with focus on medical cannabis. This edition will be guest edited by the Commission’s Chief of Research, Dr. Julie K. Johnson, and Research Analysts Graelyn Humiston and Alexander Colby.This will be Clinical Therapeutics’ second-ever cannabis specialty issue. The Commission’s Research Department had also guest edited the inaugural specialty issue which was published in July 2023.

Papers are being accepted on a rolling basis, with a deadline of September 15, 2025. The print edition of the journal is expected to be published by January 2026. However, papers will be published online as they are accepted…
