Famed paranormal investigator announces campaign to save ‘The Conjuring House;’ raises $25K

BURRILLVILLE – A well-known figure in the paranormal community has stepped forward with a plan to save an internationally famous, allegedly haunted house from those who would exploit it, with a campaign that’s quickly bringing in much of the needed funding.

Jason Hawes posted a video announcing his plan to save “The Conjuring House” on Saturday, Oct. 4, and has raised more than $25,000 in the first day of a campaign. The house is scheduled for a public mortgages foreclosure auction on Friday, Oct. 31, at a high-profile event where participants must bring $25,000 just to take part.

The 300-year-old farmhouse on Round Top Road came to fame following release of the 2013 Warner Bros. hit horror film of the same name. The movie was inspired by the experience of the Perrons, a family who lived there in the 1970s, and an investigation of the property by well-known paranormal experts Ed and Lorraine Warren…
