WORCESTER – The Worcester District and Superior Courts closed during the morning of Monday, Oct. 6, after a man died from a fall to the first floor inside the building.
The courthouse has three floors, with balconies on the second, third, and fourth floors, which overlook an atrium.
This Week in Worcester spoke with a woman inside a second-floor courtroom at the time of the incident. She said a sudden surge of noise came from outside the courtroom, which included people yelling and running. The noise reached a level that prohibited those in the courtroom from hearing the voices of those involved in the proceedings…
