Milford Police Arrest Suspect with Warrants, Officer and Suspect Injured During Incident

A police incident in Milford, Massachusetts, resulted in injuries to both a suspect and an officer during an attempted warrant arrest yesterday. According to a social media post by the Milford Police Department, officers were dispatched following a request from Domingo Mejia for police assistance at his former residence because of an active restraining order.

Officers en route to meet Mejia at the AutoZone on East Main Street, they were informed of his outstanding probation violation warrants related to domestic assault and battery, along with destruction of property, and upon their arrival, Mejia was notified about the warrant, at which point he became combative, and a Taser was used to bring the situation under control. During the altercation, Mejia sustained a head injury from a fall, and one officer injured his hand. “Our officers acted swiftly and professionally to ensure the situation was brought under control without further harm, to themselves or the individual,” Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino was quoted as saying in the department’s post…
