BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – The Healey administration has announced over $12,000,000 in grants to create and improve local parks and protect natural land across the state.
Of the $12,000,000, more than $2,400,000 has been earmarked for western Massachusetts. The money will go towards a variety of projects like phase two of Holyoke’s Anniversary Hill Park revitalization project, a new Easthampton skate park, and east entrance improvements at West Springfield’s Mitteneage Park.
Several other local communities and organizations are also slated to receive a portion of the funds with each allotment ranging from $16,500 to $425,000…
