Chaos erupted in Fitchburg over the weekend as gunshots pierced the tranquility of Plymouth Street. The Fitchburg Police Department reported that multiple calls came in at about 10:29 p.m. on Saturday, leading officers to an adult male with a gunshot wound. The victim, whose name has not been disclosed, could communicate with first responders and was quickly transported to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition.
The subsequent investigation swiftly led to the identification of a suspect, Gabriel Rivera, an 18-year-old from Gardner, Massachusetts.
