WORCESTER — Twelve-year-old Sophia Shliapa of Worcester did not get to be part of the magical dancing in last year’s annual production of “The Nutcracker” ballet by The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts.
She had danced in previous productions, including as a Small Party Girl. However, “I couldn’t do it last year because I broke my foot,” Sophia said. Her foot was in a boot for a month.
When she auditioned for the ballet this year she was not sure what would happen, but she did have a role in mind.
