New bike lanes among changes planned for Pleasant Street in Worcester

WORCESTER – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will hold a hearing Wednesday, Dec. 3, on proposed pedestrian and bicycle improvements on Pleasant Street.

The $4 million proposal would add 5-foot-wide bike lanes, 5-foot-wide sidewalks, more pedestrian crossings, American with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections, and a buffer between bike lanes and 12-foot-wide travel lanes…
