BENNINGTON, Vt. (NEWS10) — A man has pleaded guilty to two separate crimes in Vermont and Massachusetts. Both incidents took place in the 1980s.
David Allen Morrison, 65, pleaded guilty to a 1981 kidnapping and a 1986 murder.

On June 23, 1981, Laura Sheriden was walking home in Berkshire County, Mass., when she was offered a ride by Morrison. Officials said Morrison drove past her house, but Laura was able to escape after Morrison pulled over at a rest area on Route 7 in New Ashford, Mass. Laura was 15 years old at the time.
On September 19, 1986, Sarah Hunter was reported missing by a coworker when she didn’t come into work. Her body was found on November 27, 1986 in a wooded area in Pawlet, Vt. She was 32 years old…
