Federal prosecutors have charged a Worcester man with fraudulently collecting thousands of dollars in pandemic unemployment assistance while working full time as a security officer for the Transportation Security Administration at Boston Logan International Airport.
According to a press release from the office of U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley, Ismael Rosado Jr., 40, is charged with one count of wire fraud.
According to the charging documents, Rosado worked as a TSA security officer from November 2018 to October 2021. He allegedly submitted false applications claiming he had been unemployed between May 2020 and September 2021, and ultimately received $47,526 in unemployment benefits during that time, Foley’s office said…
