Man accused of stabbing Fitchburg resident indicted by Worcester grand jury

A Brockton man was indicted Wednesday in connection with the stabbing death of a 40-year-old Fitchburg man, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.’s office.

A Worcester County grand jury handed up two indictments for murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon against Ednerson Charles, 28, a Thursday press release from the District Attorney’s office reads.

On Sept. 16 at 5:27 a.m., Fitchburg police responded to Chester Street for a report of a disturbance involving a knife, according to the press release. When officers arrived, they found a man, Ronald Perceval of Fitchburg, suffering from stab wounds.
