Danielson Man Faces Second Domestic Violence Case as Another Victim Comes Forward

Killingly/Putnam, CT — A 42-year-old Danielson man was arrested on New Year’s Eve on 12 felonies stemming from domestic violence incidents throughout a 3-year relationship. He is facing separate charges involving another alleged victim from Putnam.

According to the Connecticut State Police, on December 31, 2025, Collin T Bowns, with a listed address of his parents’ Danielson residence, turned himself in on a warrant for his arrest. Bowns is currently being held on a $500,000 bond for the following felony charges:

  • Intentional Cruelty to Persons (C.G.S 53-20(a)(1))
  • Risk of Injury to a Child (C.G.S 53-21(a)(1))
  • Assault 1st Degree- Serious Physical Injury (C.G.S 53a-59(a)(1))
  • 3x Strangulation/Suffocation – 2nd Degree (C.G.S 53a-64bb)
  • 2x Assault 2nd Degree – Intent of Serious Physical Injury (C.G.S 53a-60(a)(1))
  • Unlawful Restraint – 1st Degree (C.G.S 53a-95)
  • Aggravated Sexual Assault 1st Degree – Use or Threat of Force (C.G.S 53a-70(a)(1))

An arrest warrant application obtained by Quiet Corner Alerts detailed Bowns’s actions throughout a 2021-2024 relationship with a local woman. The woman was allegedly threatened by Bowns, causing her to delay her reports to the police. The woman’s statements, supported by an individual who had been told by Bowns of multiple incidents of domestic violence against previous women, alleged several incidents of physical and mental abuse, as well as at least one instance of rape. Bowns allegedly intentionally broke the woman’s finger and toe in separate instances, not allowing her to go to the hospital under threat of further violence. In a 2023 incident, Bowns threw a seltzer can at the woman so hard she was later admitted to Norwich Backus Hospital, where doctors’ notes listed her as “critically ill/injured”. Texts during this timeframe show Bowns threatening her to not talk to the police if they arrived to question her. Many of these incidents occurred with a child present or within earshot.

At the time of the December arrest, Bowns was out on $15,000 bail for an April 2025 arrest in Putnam involving another alleged victim. An arrest warrant application obtained by Quiet Corner Alerts for this incident detailed Bowns making verbal threats of death and violence towards a girlfriend and her juvenile son. Statements indicated Bowns had also locked the woman in a room with him during one of the incidents, forcing a witness to break the door down in fear that the woman was being actively harmed…
