Northborough officials have placed a town firefighter on paid leave following his arrest on charges related to assaults on his father and girlfriend last month.
Leicester resident Christopher Goodney Jr., 33, pleaded not guilty to 10 charges in connection with the Dec. 20 incident involving his girlfriend during his arraignment in East Brookfield District Court, according to court documents. The charges include strangulation or suffocation, domestic assault and battery and carrying a firearm while intoxicated.
Goodney also pleaded not guilty to assault and battery and gun charges in connection with the attempted shooting of his father earlier on Dec. 20 during his arraignment in Worcester District Court, according to court records…
