Mass. State Police respond to nearly 150 car crashes during first day of snowstorm

As the biggest snowstorm Massachusetts has seen in years continues to pummel the state Sunday night, State Police say they’ve already responded to nearly 150 calls for car crashes across the state.

As of 6 p.m. Sunday, State Police had received 145 calls, seven of which involved injuries, a State Police spokesperson said. None of the crashes were fatal.

Earlier in the day, state officials advised residents to stay off the road as the snowstorm continues. Even after a plow clears a roadway, the wind may blow snow back onto the road, they said…
